Mid-Century architecture and furniture was characterised by clean, flowing lines that serve a specific purpose. We have distilled this design logic into the Stilt Barstool—a quiet assertion of form, pair of solid walnut joints, and linen textures that sits naturally in any home context.

Materiality

The Soul of the Object

We believe a piece of furniture is only as honest as the materials from which it is born. At Noku Studio, we do not mask the organic. We celebrate it.

Our reclaimed teak is rescued from decades-old structures in Southern India—seasoned naturally by sun and monsoon, carrying a warm history and unparalleled stability.

Each strand of natural rattan cane is meticulously hand-woven by local master artisans, marrying breathing mid-century forms with India's living heritage.

Our certified hides are left aniline-finished, preserving the natural grain, scars, and creases, designed to acquire a unique, rich patina with every touch.
